In partnership with Run Ireland, Trócaire is encouraging people to run in an event on our behalf. Trócaire’s partnership with Run Ireland could not have come at a better time. More and more people are seeking out new and fun ways to stay fit and healthy.
Trócaire is delighted to be able to support the great work of Run Ireland by encouraging new and existing supporters of our work to take part in, and help promote some of the amazing events that take place year-round, nationwide.
Running is a huge part of the culture in some of the countries that Trócaire works in such as Kenya and Ethiopia. A link between Irish runners and the people Trócaire works with is truly an exciting prospect.
A brilliant way to raise money to support Trócaire’s work is to set up a fundraising page online, and take part in one of the many events sponsored by Run Ireland, whether it’s a Fun Run, or for the more serious athletes, a marathon, a triathlon, or many other gruelling events.
Receiving many small donations from friends and family really adds up. A lot of people giving a little really can have a life changing impact for people in some of the world’s poorest countries.

Appeal for the Somalia Education Programme
Trócaire has been running an Education programme in Somalia since 2011 with money raised through an Emergency Appeal. These funds are fast depleting and therefore Trócaire urgently needs to raise a total of €500,000 to support 15 schools for the next three years.
Your support will ensure that up to 5,000 children have a brighter future through education.
Education continues to prove to be the best way out of poverty.
