The fourth Lough Key Sprint Triathlon is happening on the 5th of September 2010. Lough Key provides a perfect backdrop to this exciting event. Attracting triathletes from all backgrounds, 2010 is set to be a big event in the triathlon calendar and is the first time this tri is part of the national series.
300 triathletes of all abilities will compete together for a 750 meter swim in the open water of Lough Key, followed
by a 23 km cycle through the country roads surrounding this National Forest Park. The finale of the race is a 5 km run through the trails of the park, arriving back at the lake shore to a heros welcome from the enthusiastic friends, family and supporters.
The event was won in 2008 by Austrian Christoph Kullnig in a course record of 1 hour 7 mins 14 sec…think you can beat him?
