from Donore Harriers website There was a great Donore turnout at the Tom Brennan Memorial 5k on New Year’s Day organised by Liffey Valley AC. Mark Dooley stormed home to 5th place in 15.46. Philip Hennessy was the 2nd M40 in 16.44 and next home was Eoghan Meyler in 17.46.
The first Donore woman home was Dervila Holmes in 4th place in a time of 18.53. Here are the Donore finishers in full – well done all.

There were also Donore runners in action all over Ireland during the Christmas period. At the Dick Copithorne 4 mile run in Belgooly, Cork Ian O’Leary was 1st M40 in 22.02. Ian also came 2nd overall in the Donough Coughlan memorial Bandon 5 mile race in 26.51.In the Fields of Athenry 10k – Michelle Rowley was 3rd W35 in 44.51. Suzanne Rath and Jill Dempsey competed at the Suttonians Fat Turkey 10k and in the Clonmel 4 mile, Philip Harty was 5th place in 20.0
