Athletics Northern Ireland The Les Jones Memorial 10K Race will take place on Friday 16th May 2008 at 7:30pm at the Mary Peters Track, Upper Malone Road, Belfast. Online entry is now available- view the fixtures section to download the form or enter now. See also the link to the route map. A slight change to the normal course sees the runners do only 2 laps of the Mary Peters Track at the start and finish with one and a quarter laps. In between was a mix of road, lagan towpath, Dub playing fields and the dreaded hill in Barnets. Last year saw 152 runners take part and all competitors will receive a complimentary t-shirt this year.
Registration takes place from 6:30pm in the Les Jones Room, Athletics House.
Note: Registered Athlete Cost: £7.00
Non-Registered Athlete: £8.00
Closing date for entries will be FRIDAY 9TH MAY 2008. Late entry fee will apply to postal entries following this date- and on the day at a cost of £8/ £9.
Showering and toilet facilities are available at Athletics House. Car-parking facilities are also available.

There will be veteran prizes in All Age Group categories.
Last year St. Malachey’s Kevin Seaward took the lead from the start, setting a fast pace and finishing in first place in a time of 31.53 minutes. He was followed by NI Cross-Country champion Brian Campbell of Willowfield and Jarleth Falls (Ballymena & Antrim) in 3rd place.
