This is the 5th year running this 5K race in Leitrim Village. Situated 3 miles outside Carrick-on-Shannon.The route has flat road and but contains two decent gradual incline hills spread over some beautiful countryside.
This is open to competitive runners, joggers and walkers. Entry fee is €10. Register online. (U.18’S resgistration is €5)
This year we have prizes for U.18, Seniors and local both male and female. Over 40 male and female. Over 50 male and female.
Register here online or at the school on Sunday morning from 8.30am to 11.15am on the day of the race at race HQ Leitrim National School
Course has been measured and has AAI permit. We time and record the first 100 finishers
All proceeds go towards Northwest Hospice & Leitrim NS. We will have post race refreshments and prizegiving.
The race will start on the Drumshanbo side of the village and finish just below Leitrim National schoool on the Keadue rd. The route will take you down towards Battlebridge, take a right before the bridge, follow that road with canal on your left handside. Take the first right, then next right and this brings you back up to the starting point with just under 1km to travel before finishing below the school on the Keadue rd.

Race HQ, parking and changing facilites at Leitrim N.S. Extra parking available bedhind McCormacks petrol station on the carrick road and athe hotel. It is approx a 3-4 minute walk from here up to HQ
