1 Place Left The first Velvet Strand Sprint Triathlon will take place on 9th May 2010 at 9am in Portmarnock Co. Dublin. It will be a Sprint distance which consists of a 750m swim, a 20km bike and a 5km run.

» The swim will be a sea swim with a beach start.
» The bike will be a 2 lap course through Portmarnock and Malahide with scenic coastal views (if you have time to look up!) The roads will not be closed so please obey the rules of the road and all Gardaí and marshalls instructions.
» The run will be and out and back sprint along the coastal walkway finishing back at Portmarnock Beach.
