U20 Juniors Race – 4.4 km course with 210 metres of ascent – 12.30pm
Open / Veterans Race – 7 km course with 420 metres of ascent – 1.00pm
As well as being for International teams from Wales, Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland, all races are open to others, with generous prizes in each age category. Come along and demonstrate that you can finish ahead of team members. Juniors will be especially welcome in the U17 & U20 races.
Knockdhu is similar to Hill & Dale events in length and amount of climbing but with some steep fast descents where grip is at a premium. The main race starts at 1 pm, juniors at 12:30 pm.
The prize giving is in the pub in Cairncastle at 3:30 pm later in the afternoon. The race starts from Linford Car Park, map reference 332073 about 1.5 miles West of Cairncastle.
Generous prizes are on offer with P&O travel vouchers to be won in each category. A commemorative race T shirt will be presented to all race entrants. Registration for the Open and U17 races will be on the day at Linford Car Park, near Cairncastle, north of Larne from 11.30am.
