Kilcock Hill of Tara Loop gearing up nicely

Kilcock Ladies on their bikes! Following their highly successful 5km Santa Dash in December the Kilcock Ladies GAA team are now running a 70km cycle. In these recessional times sponsorship is harder to come by than ever before so the enterprising ladies team of Kilcock are now running a fund raising cycle. This will take place on the 28th of April at 10.30am from Kilcock GAA.
It is a departure for the girls from previous events such as table quizs but one which they feel benefits both themselves and the local community. Robert Cox, manager of the team, says he is extremely proud of the girls and their efforts to date, “Ladies footabll is the fastest growing sport in Ireland and yet is in dire need of funding. It’s great to see the team getting out and working together to make this happen”.

The ladies feel that organising a cycle is a great way of involving the whole town and creating awareness of the club. They ran a hugely succesful 5km race in December and if the organisation of that is anything to go by the cycle should be a great event.
