Many thanks to all those who helped on the day and we will try and mention as many as possible as soon as possible.
Apologies for the unscheduled course change on the final turn from the main road at the end which added about 20 metres. This was not checked with the race organisers and came as a surprise when I came into the finish. We had put in a lot of effort over the past few weeks to mark the course accurately several times with a Jones wheel for each kilometre on a racing line. This takes a lot of effort and we also had to change the course several times to minimise the flooding points. That error will not be repeated in future events.
RESULTS AND PHOTOGRAPHS WILL BE ON HERE SOON
MANY THANKS TO THE MYRIAD OF HELPERS ON THE DAY

One lap accurately measured course and post race refreshments in the Community Centre. The course is measured by Jones Wheel and there will be manual timing on the day for the 10K Race. The 6k Walk will not be timed. The 10K is very fast – for the first 8k – and then you will have a challenging 2k climb to the finish. As you hit the hill at 8K look up to your left and that church steeple in the top of your vision is where you will find the finish line. The last 300M is a lovely flat finish so you can save a little for the photographer.
Latest Update – Entries will be taken on Run Ireland until midnight tonight! Entries are flying in so please enter early and take advantage of the fast tracking on the day. However, do try and arrive early as parking will be at a premium and there is a nice warm hall to relax and warm up in and plenty of refreshments. There will also be massage therapists for pre and post race rub downs and Brendan Doyle will be selling his range of supplements to fuel your performance and aid your recovery.
