It is a unique opportunity for runners of all levels to take part in the festival and

After a 7-year absence the road race returned to the streets of Dublin in 2008. It was a great sporting success and is a welcome addition to the St Patrick’s Festival. Some of Irelands leading male and female runners competed then and are expected again. However it is an inclusive event to all abilities, ages, gender and welcomes those in costume.
There are goody bags for all entrants and a T-shirt for the first 2000.
The race director is “Chairman of the Boards” Eamonn Coghlan, former world champion athlete and the Lord Mayor Eibhlin Byrne or her deputy will start the race.
