With Dublin’s reputation as one of the most hospitable cities in the world, the second edition pf IRONMAN 70.3 Dublin is sure to be an incredible athlete and spectator experience.
Ireland is famous for the warm welcome it extends to visitors. Dublin is the capital of the Republic of Ireland and is Ireland’s largest city. It is located on the east coast of Ireland, overlooking Dublin Bay. Dublin City is surrounded by the greater Dublin area or Dublin County where visitors will find picturesque seaside villages, rolling mountains and rural hinterland—all within half an hour of the city centre. This provides an ideal combination of city and country environments in which to stage an IRONMAN event.
Athletes will swim 1.9k, Bike 90km and run 21.1km finishing in the iconic Phoenix Park where thousands of spectators will line Chesterfield Avenue in support of their athletes.
There will be 35 qualifying slots available for the 2017 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships in the USA.
