Irish Team Named European 10km Championship

Athletics Ireland has named the team to attend the European Cup 10k championship to be held on 5th June 2010 in Marseille, France. The team is as follows:

Mark Kenneally – Clonliffe Harriers
Gary Thornton – Galway City Harriers
Stephen Scullion – North Belfast Harriers

 

Mark Kenneally will be looking to follow up on impressive early season form after finishing in 8th position at the European Cross Country Championship held in Dublin in December of last year. Kenneally has a best time of 28.44.53 for the 10km distance and he will be looking to improve on this mark and strengthen his position in European athletics.

His Irish teammate and Galway man Gary Thornton is in flying form at the moment after setting a new best time of 29.00.65 recently.
