Kenneally, was on hand to launch the Great Race Galway which will take
place on Sunday the 17th June 2012 at Galway Race Course, Ballybrit,
Galway.
The Great Race Galway is open to runners of all levels and
there will also be plenty of entertainment on the day making it a fun
day out for all the family. The race starts with one lap of the
racecourse and then proceeds to fast country roads for 8k and a final
lap of the course for a grandstand finish! Entries are €24 or €20 for

Speaking at the launch Mark Kenneally said “I am delighted to be
supporting the launch of Great Race Galway; anything that encourages
people to put on their runners and take part in such a worthwhile
cause is great in my book.” Kenneally went on to speak of his hopes
for the forthcoming Games “Being the Irish representative for the
men’s marathon in London 2012 is a dream come true and I am feeling
really positive about the challenge that lies ahead. I am very proud
to be representing my country and I am very focused on performing as
well as I can in London.”

are so pleased to be associated with such a special event. Our
association with Great Race Galway is a perfect platform to encourage
men and women of all ages to look after their own heart health by

at the Marie Keating Foundation said “As a runner myself, I think this
event is shaping up to be one of the new highlights of the running
calendar. We are thrilled that the Foundation is one of the chosen
charities and look forward to a great afternoon of running on the 17th
of June.”
