This race is designed to re-trace some of the steps where the Irish famously defeated the invading English Army in 1599,the Irish led by Red hughO’Donnell caught the invading English by surprise ,and today the story still lives in local folklore. ……Lets try it in period costume (optional)… Today for your 10.00 entry fee you can retrace some of those steps on this course which is steeped in history and enjoy some of the most magnificent views, this side of the country.
