by Noreen O’Toole My name is Noreen O’toole 29 years old and i have been running for about 2 yrs full time now… But i started about 3.5yrs ago when i was 14st 11lbs…i stated in order to loose weight and gain a healthier lifestyle…so i joined weight watchers and stopped drinkin at the same time and it worked i lost 2 stone…but in the past 2 years i have lost a further 2.5 stone an run on average 6 days a week up to 10 miles a time…

I have ran 3 half marathons since april 07 my first one the Connemaratnon in 2rhs 00min 17sec and the last one in Cardiff was 1hr 54 min 57 sec…so as you can imagine i am very pleased with those times…I like to run at in last afternoon most of the time but my long runs i do on a sunday morning..I try and get some gym sessions and pool work in also oh and the speed work..I have a running buddy Joan and we do most of our runs together…

I eat lots so much sometimes people wonder where i put it..but you do need a good balanced diet it really is the most important factor in your training..plenty of protine and the right amount of carbs and evrn fats…
running plays a huge part of my day…

I wake up wondering whats the weather like wondering where and when ill run and if my buddy can join me too as thats importand as we can motivate each other during the hard times…running also lets me deal with the stresses and woes of life…its a great way to deal with things and to think stuff over also it just clears away the cobwebs and most importantly makes me feel great and puts a big smile on my face…
