from BHAA Just a quick note to remind you of the cross-country races this weekend. Billed as “old style cross-country” – which means it will be tough. But don’t be afraid of it.
Anyone who was there last year, when it was very, very cold, still enjoyed it. Check out the video on the BHAA website – always get a great reaction when shown at races. I am told the surface will not be as ploughed up as last year. Give it a go. The women’s race is a bit longer than usual due to the configuration of the course and laps.

Women’s 3 mile starts 11.00am
Men’s 4 mile starts 11.30am
Venue: The Ward Cross Indoor Astro Park, The Ward, Co. Dublin.
Directions: take the N2 exit off the M50. Take the second exit off carriage way – St Margaret’s exit. Follow signs to St Margaret’s (come off the carriage way take a right hand turn go to end of road to a T junction, turn left, follow road till you see the White House Pub which is on your right hand side, take the right hand turn after the White House. About 500 metres down that road on the right is the Indoor Astro Park and on your left will be Newpark Care Centre. There are sign posts from carriage way directing you to New park Care Centre.
By Bus Eireann: Take bus 103, from Dublin (Beresford Place) asking the driver to let you off at The Ward Cross just after the White House Pub. This bus leaves every 30 mins from 8am onwards.
Essential: spectators please bring wellies with you.
