The Headless Horseman goes Off The Beaten Track 30th of March 2013

The Ballyhoura Mountain Trail We know you that by now you must be well into your resolutions of getting healthy, happy and fit for 2013. We wanted to let you all know that Easter Weekend promises to be one of the best events in the adventure calender called ” Off the Beaten Track”. On the 30th of March starting in Kilmallock adventure seekers will take to their bikes ( on road) past the Ballyhoura Mountain trail to Glenanaar car park where they can leave their bikes (14k approx).

  From there competitors must run /walk 7k to get to a series of obstacles. Once completed competitors must make their way to the highest point of the mountain called Seefin before a steep descent back to where the bike park will be set up. They must once again return to Kilmallock by bike to get to the finish. The race is 38k in distance with 28k of this cycling. This race can be completed solo or with a 2 or 3 man team. The breakdown for teams would be one doing the cycle, one doing the run/obstacle course/hike and the last person doing the cycle. Registration will be onlince via www.hhar.ie/registration and prices start at €20.00 per person and this is only available for a few more days.

Our main race The Headless Horseman Adventure race will take place on Sat the 13th of July in Kilmallock. This year along with our coveted goody bag we are introducing our HHAR Cycling jersey which will be free to the first 100 entrants. If you feel the main event is too much you can take part in The Mini Headless Horseman Adventure Race which is 22k and is the first two stages of the main race.
