The Great Ballaghmore 6km Run / Walk (if you so desire) is now in its third year and is going from strength to strength thanks to the support of yourselves the runners and walkers. Ballaghmore is located just off the old N7 halfway between Borris In Ossory in Co. Laois and Roscrea in Co. Tipperary. We are within a half hour drive of Portlaoise, Birr, Nenagh and Thurles so very convenient for all to attend.
The Run will commence at 12.00pm from the village of Ballaghmore and will take runners along quiet scenic country roads. The Run will be well stewarded with a drink station at the start, at the 3km mark and at the finish line.
The course also provides an ideal opportunity to get in some preparation for the Flora Women’s Mini Marathon taking place two weeks later.
Entry for the Run is only €10 and there will be trophies for a number of categories including Juniors, Seniors and an over 55 category. Refreshments will be served at the finish line.
