Time: 7.30pm Sharp Registration and collection of race packs will take place from 2pm to 6.30pm on the evening of the race at Kerry Parents and Friends Killarney.
The Route is officially measured using a Jones Counter by an AAI course measurer and AAI permit is pending.
348 Runners took to the streets of Killarney for last year’s inaugural 5 miler on Good Friday. The entry fee again this year is €20. For that you get an accurately measured, chip-timed race, a fast course, lots of refreshments afterwards, plenty of water, live race commentary and a great opportunity for a PB. And of course there will be a specially designed EGG CUP 2011 for all finishers of the race.
Over the next few years we hope that participants will have a fine collection of egg cups to proudly display at home. We are welcoming runners and walkers of all ages and abilities.
We will be adding team/club categories to the race this year – more details will follow shortly.
So put the 22nd of April down on your running calendar and take part in what will be a very special night time road race through the streets of Killarney.
