Gerry Duffy coming to Galway To mark the establishment of City Life Galway, a new Financial Planning Company in the city, set up by the well known Financial Advisor and keen athlete Pat O Dwyer, a very special talk by Ireland’s Deca Ironman champion Gerry Duffy entitled “Succeeding Against The Odds” will take place in the Salthill Hotel on Thurs 26th Jan commencing at 7.30pm
Gerry Duffy is a highly acclaimed athlete, motivational speaker, charity fund raiser and author. In 2011 he won the inaugural Deca Enduroman UK Challenge, completing 10 Ironman distance triathlons in 10 days.
That amounts to swimming 24 miles, cycling 1160 miles and running 10 full marathons in 10 consecutive days. In the summer of 2010, Gerry completed 32 marathons in 32 days (a marathon in each county in Ireland) and in the process, Gerry raised over €500,000 for Irish Autism Action. His best selling book “Who dares Runs” is an inspirational tale of success against the odds and sets the background for this motivating and energising event in the Salthill Hotel this Month. City Life Galway is a newly formed Financial Planning Company, established by Pat O’ Dwyer in association with City Life Wealth Advisors. Pat is a prominent member of Galway City Harriers and Galway Triathlon Club. He is passionate about sport and believes Gerry’s ‘get up and go’ approach to life is consistent with the values of himself and his new Company. This event is expected to be oversubscribed, entry is free (a voluntary charitable donation of €5.00 towards Enable Ireland will be collected at registration) but numbers are limited so pre-registration is advised, to register your interest in attending this event email [email protected].
