Galway’s 2007 cross-country season (Athenry Ac website) got off to a great start this past Tuesday with the 2007 Galway Primary Schools Cross-Country Championships, which were held in ideal weather conditions in Renmore Park. Congratulations to all the children who participated. This is the best attended and most competitive event on the Galway cross-country calendar and it is heartening to see such enthusiasm, natural ability and future potential on show. For many involved this was their very first experience of cross-country running and we hope it was an enjoyable one for all.
