None The first Newry City Marathon will be held on Bank Holiday, Monday 26th May 2008. The Northern Ireland Athletics Federation, Newry & Mourne District Council, the PSNI and the Department of Regional Development have endorsed the event. We anticipate this high-profile event will attract thousands of local athletes, sporting groups, supporters and participants from local business.
The event offers full marathon, half marathon, and fun-run options to ensure entrance levels have wide spread appeal to gain the maximum number of participants.The route will be calibrated and will be included on the NIAF timetable of events.
