A native of Knockane,Pallasgreen; Eddie Murphy completed over forty five marathons/ super marathons before his untimely death in April 2011.
The Jones Counter Measured 5 mile course runs along the countryside of Tipperary and Limerick finishing outside The Idler Bar, Knockane, Pallasgreen.
Run Headquarters is the Idler Bar with limited off road Car Parking adjacent to The Idler Bar. A family fun walk will commence at 6.10 pm with the run starting at 7.00 pm.

Directions:
From Limerick City– Tipperary Town -N24 Limerick/Tippeary road at the cross road of Pallasgreen take exit (O’ Dwyers Pub) to the village of Old Pallas. Straight through Old Pallas village and continue to Y road junction. Take left exit and proceed 5k to Sarsfield’s Creamery T Junction. Take right but signs will indicate route to the Idler Bar.
From Emly – Coming from Knocklong on the main road to Tipperary Towntravel through the village of Emly. After passing the GAA field on the left take the next left all the way to Knockane. Just before you turn left you will see in front of you in an island is a Grocery Shop Callinan’s
