Eamon Moloney Memorial 10k run and 5k walk 

This race was set up in remembrance of a runner who spent many years helping and coaching young athletes over the years. In his time as a runner he ran numerous marathons in aid of cancer research. Unfortunately Eamon passed away in May 2012 and we feel that this would be the ideal event to remember him by whilst also raising funds for a cause that was extremely close to Eamon’s heart. All proceeds from this event will go to Cahercalla Community Hospice and Clare Cancer Support Centre in Kilnamona. The race will take place on Saturday 29th March 2014 at 11am from Rice College, Ennis. The course has been accurately measured and an AAI permit is approved. All athletes, runners, joggers and walkers are invited to attend this memorial event. THIS EVENT IS OPEN TO ALL!!!! THE EAMON MOLONEY RUN FOR LIFE 10K Event will focus on generating funds through a wide audience of participants so any organisation that would like to become involved through a sponsorship opportunity we would love to hear from you! Prizes will be offered for the first 3 men and 3 ladies across the line as well as a perpetual shield/cup for the winning men’s and ladies teams. Prize money will be announced shortly!!! There will also be a 5k Walk on the same day, starting at 1030am..just before the main event. This is shaping up to be a great day out for one and all! Details of race registration to follow shortly!
