Eagle Run takes place in the tranquil surrounds of Castlecomer Golf Club. It’s off road but it’s not a trail run as 90% of the run is on buggy paths with remainder on grass.
There will not be a car in sight!
REGISTRATION
Registration open from 5.45pm until 6.45pm.
Entry fees are runners €10, families €20, children, students & OAP’s €5.
PRIZES
Prizes will be awarded for the top 3 men and ladies.
The race will start at 7pm sharp with registration open from 5.45pm in the clubhouse.
ROUTE
The 5k race starts and ends at the clubhouse. The route which could be described as many things including fast, challenging at the start, certainly scenic and most of all enjoyable. There is a new start line in 2017 which removes the sharp hill at the start. The last 200m are slightly up hill with the remainder being flat or downhill. The surfaces include all weather buggy paths, a bit of grass and a small stretch of tarmac.
Children’s 2k & Kiddies Dash are added for 2017
