DUBLIN’S STREETS WILL SHINE BRIGHT WITH OLYMPIC SPIRIT

Samsung Ireland and DCC announce the Samsung Run Dublin@Night 10k Samsung Ireland and Dublin City Council today announced details of a major city centre event to mark the 2012 Olympic Games ‘Samsung Run Dublin @ Night’. The 10k Night Run, which is expected to attract 5,000 runners, will take place at 8:30pm on Sunday 29th April 2012. As a worldwide partner of the London Olympics 2012, Samsung together with event partner Dublin City Council aim to bring some of the sprit and excitement of the Games to Ireland. Runners wishing to register for the event can do so at www.samsungnightrun.com.

The planned route starts and finishes at Trinity College, and will include some of Dublin’s most iconic and historic landmarks taking in the GPO, the Custom House, the Convention Centre and the new Samuel Beckett Bridge.

Furthermore, the Samsung Run Dublin@Night 10K is sure to bring some of the spirit of the Olympics to Dublin.”

Lord Mayor of Dublin Andrew Montague said “I am delighted to be associated with this event. Any activity which gets Dubliners out running through our historic streets is to be welcomed. It is a great initiative. I commend Dublin City Council and Samsung Ireland and look forward to the main event on April 29th”.
