Written by Liz (Dundrum South Dublin website) D.S.D. juvenile athletes were out in force in the Phoenix Park yesterday, for the second round of the Dublin Cross-Country League. It was a day to remember as several runners had their first win in cross country for the club.
Most notable were:- Rick Nally U.18 Boys; Jack MacGabhann U.17 Boys ; Nicole Kenny U.18 Girls, and also registering another fine performance was Ruby Barlow U.14 Girls. Adam Dunne was a close up second in the U.17 Boys, as was Christian McKenna U.15 Boys and Johanna McCambridge U.13 Girls. Michael McCarthy U.18 Boys, Richeal Ni Laoghaire U.17 Girls; Ruadhan O’Grada U.15 Boys; Tim Leary U.13 Boys and Cian Dunne U.10 Boys, put in great work to finish 3rd. It was great to see such big numbers in each category and 4th places by Mark Molloy U.16 Boys, Danielle Clare U.11 Girls, Juno Barlow U.12 Girls, Millie Hayes and Alan Moran are also worthy of note. It augurs well for forthcoming Dublin Championships. Keep up the good work as your team is depending on each athlete achieving their own best result. We are in a position to get all teams through to the All-Ireland C.C. Championships and hard work will bring its own reward if you set your goals high. Results as follows:
