The Foróige operated DRUM Youth Project & Health Café is hosting its first ever Fun Run on Sunday the 2nd October in the Castle Park, Kilkenny. The 5K for €5K is open to all who are looking for a fun afternoon out with their friends and family in the heart of the Marble City. The race starts at 12 mid-day and costs €5 to enter. There will be commemorative t-shirts for the first 5 athletes in each category past the finish line. The categories are Senior Men (18+), Senior Women (18+), Junior Men (U-18) and Junior Women (U-18). Registration will be open from 11am on the day outside the Castle Grounds on the Parade. To register log onto www.runireland.com Following the race there will be some novelty races for the Toddlers and children’s entertainment. The event is due to finish at 2.00pm. Monies raised will go toward youth projects operated by Foróige through the DRUM Youth Project & Health Café in Kilkenny City and County.
