Why not join us on the 15th September and help fundraise for the local RNLI Lifeboat Station. The annual Clifden Lifeboat 10k, which is now in its 6th year, is held in memory of 18yr old Mickey Mullen who died when the MVF St Oliver sank near Carna in 2004.
The race starts and finishes in Clifden, Co galway and will bring you up the Sky Road, one of the most scenic areas in Connemara. The course is officially measured and as in previous years AAI approval will be applied for. Individuals and teams of runners, joggers walkers and stragglers of all abilities are welcome and there are prize categories to suit everyone. This year also sees the intoduction of “Family Teams” and “Club Teams”, please contact us for more information.
Trophies for all usual age categories. Refreshements and prize giving will take place in O’Malleys Bar afterwards. Hot showers and changing facilities. Sponsorship forms for the RNLI are available but not compulsory and all proceeds go to the Clifden RNLI.
