Set against the backdrop of the magnificent and rugged beauty of the Dingle Peninsula on the west coast of Ireland, Dingle Triathlon is run over a classic course taking in some of the best that West Kerry has to offer.
Based at Dingle Marina, the event kicks off with an initial 1500m open water swim section in Dingle harbour where competitors share the waters with one of the more famous local residents, Fungie the dolphin.
The swim is followed by a challenging 40km cycle route that takes the riders on a loop around the spectacular Slea Head returning to transition at the marina. The final 10km road run section is on quiet back roads around the harbour area before the final dash to the finish line in Dingle town.
