from A.A.I Big PB’s for Irish athletes David McCarthy became the latest sub four miler when he won the 1 mile race at the Valentine Invitational in Boston yesterday. After a couple of races where he was outpaced at the finish, the Waterford man enjoyed the other side when he outpaced fellow Providence runner Hayden McLaren to win by the narrowest of margins in a time of 3:57.75.
At the Husky meet in Seattle Damian Bateman smashed his PB when he won the 5,000m in a blanket finish in a time of 13:54.11.
