The 4th Annual DAMBUSTERS race will take place on Saturday 22nd August 2015 at the Silent Valley Mountain Centre and is also the final race of the PURE RUNNING HALF MARATHON SERIES. There are two distances to choose from, the Half Marathon or 10K Race/Walk.
The Silent Valley is located within the Mourne area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is home to some of the most beautiful scenery in Ireland. The Valley is surrounded by dramatic mountain panoramas and includes a reservoir built in the early 1900’s as well as the famous Mourne wall.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE HALF MARATHON STARTS 3 MILES OUTSIDE OF THE SILENT VALLEY PARK ON THE CARRIGENAGH ROAD, KILKEEL. RUNNERS WILL BE BUSSED TO THE START AND SHOULD BE ON THE BUS LEAVING THE SILENT VALLEY PARK FROM THE REGISTRATION AREA NO LATER THAN 10.30AM.
All race packs can be collected on the day of the race from the Registration area in the Silent Valley Park. Registration open from 9.00am. All participants will receive a beautiful commemorative medal, chip timing, post race refreshments (BBQ – weather permitting).
