Christmas Activates Western Lakes CC will be busy organizing a host of events over Christmas Holidays, there are activities to suit all abilities.
Fun Time trial on St Stephen day
A novelty 10 mile Time Trail will take place at 11.30am on St Stephens day on the Ballyglass road out Ballinrobe, the aim is to have fun and blow out the Christmas cobwebs with a short 10 mile effort.
All cyclists have to pre guess their times and are not allowed to wear a watch or use a cycle computer as the winner is the person who guesses closest to their predicted time.
Everyone is welcome and it makes no difference what type of bicycle you use.
Sign on from 11am at Watson’s furniture.
Refreshments at Inch’s bar main St Ballinrobe afterwards.

Round 5 of the Connacht MTB league
Will take place on Sunday December 27th in Tourmakeady woods.
This will be a great opportunity to try out your new Christmas present (bike) as the course is not too technical.
The event is open to all abilities, you can race it if you like.
Sign on from 11am at the woods in Tourmakeady, Youths race start at 12noon, Seniors at 1pm.

Challenge your Family Fun day cycle.
The Challenge your Family Fun Day will be a great event for all the family, with a gentle cycle spin through the woods from Cong to Clonbur on the newly developed Coillte walking & cycling trail all completely free from traffic.
Why not use Santa’s present of a bike and enjoy this great day out, Refreshments will be served at the end of the spin.
Make your New year’s resolution early on December 30th with the Sign on at10.30am at the car park on the way into the village of Cong, the event starts 11am
