Online entry to the inaugural SURF’n’TURF closes on Wednesday night (October 2nd) at 11pm. The race which takes place in Curracloe Co. Wexford will raise funds for Wexford Marine Watch. The route is a multi-terrain course offering participants the choice of a full marathon, half marathon, 10K and a 10K walk. The marathon is strictly limited to 50 runners and will start at 10 am. BORN2RUN had originally planned a half marathon & 10k but decided to open the race to a limited number of marathon runners following an approach from a seasoned marathon runner.
Organisers BORN2RUN Events have earned a reputation for organising quality races and their motto is GREAT RACES IN GREAT PLACES. SURF’n’TURF certainly lives up to this with a mix of forest trail, beach and country road. There is unlikely to be a more scenic race anywhere on the East coast next weekend!
