We’re almost there. Ready for registration Saturday and Sunday (10am-6pm) and we’re looking forward to seeing everyone. We’ve had a lot of requests for copies of the confirmation of entry sheet. With a deluge of enquiries on so many different aspects of the coming weekend, we can’t get around to re-issuing all. If you don’t have a copy of your confirmation, please go to the information stand at registration.
We’ll have a modest but discerning Expo at registration over the weekend with exhibitors including Mahers Sports, The Edge, Welch Sports, John Buckley Sports, Herbal Life, Athletics Ireland, Cork BHAA, and LeisureWorld Cork. The Irish Society of Physiotherapists will be there to offer advice on pre- and post-marathon exercise, and Herbal Life will be carrying out free hydration tests at their stand.
At 2pm on Saturday 30th our visitors will have an exceptional opportunity to join in a questions and answers session with Sonia O’Sullivan and her husband, international coach Nick Bideau. The hour-long session will give Bord Gáis Energy Cork City Marathon participants a chance to get expert advice and to ask questions about marathon running. Who knows how those last-minute tips might help on Monday. Whether you’re registering or not, you’re welcome to join in!
The weather forecast for Monday 1st June in Cork is currently for a high of 18° with a light breeze and partial cloud. The temperature is certainly rising here and tomorrow looks like it’s going to be a very warm day.
For those of you in Cork, don’t forget that the Ocean to City rowing race, from Crosshaven to the city centre, takes place tomorrow. We wish all involved another successful and enjoyable day! See www.oceantocity.com for further details.
Best wishes
