The annual Coolaney 8km Road Race and Walk will take place on Saturday 25th of July at 12 noon. Registration for the event is from 10.30 to 11.30 at Coolaney Community Park and the entry fee is €10. Participants may register as senior, over 35, over 45 or walkers and all will receive refreshments after the event. Last years race was a great success (won by Mayoman John Canny 27:31 and Sligo’s Lucy Brennan 29.59) and this year’s event is sure be another enjoyable and competitive affair. The 8k race is part of the Coolaney Summer Festival running from Thursday 23rd to Sunday 26th July with a full programme of activities for all the family.
