“Calling all runners! The 3rd annual Coolaney 8km Road Race and Walk will take place on Saturday 24th of July at 12.00 noon. Over the past two years this event has become established in the racing calendar of the North West with athletes of all levels heading for the scenic village of Coolaney in the foothills of the Ox mountains.
Registration for the event is from 11.00 to 11.45 at Coolaney Community Park and the entry fee is €10. Participants may register as senior, over 35, over 45 or walkers and all will receive refreshments after the event. The route will be fully stewarded and will loop back to finish on the main street of the village. The 8k race is part of the Coolaney Summer Festival running from Thursday 22nd to Sunday 25th July with a full programme of activities for all the family.
