Register now for this scenic 8km race around Coolaney village. The popular 4th annual Coolaney 8km Road Race and Walk will take place on Saturday 23rd of July at 12.30pm. Athletes of all abilities are assured of a warm welcome in the scenic village of Coolaney in the foothills of the Ox mountains.
A childrens’ fun run (age 10 + ) is being added to the programme this year and will start at 11.30am. Entry fee is €3 and we will have a medal for all competitors. Registration for the main event is from 11.30 to 12.15 at Coolaney Community Park in the centre of the village and the entry fee is €10. Participants may register as senior, over 35, over 45 or walkers and all will receive refreshments after the event. The route will be fully stewarded and will loop back to finish on the main street of the village. The 8k race is part of the Coolaney Summer Festival running from Thursday 21st to Sunday 24th July with a full programme of activities for all the family.
