The countdown to the inaugural Cong 8k has begun. The event promises to be a race with a difference as the route takes participants through the beautiful Cong Woods and Ashford Estate.
Race begins at 11am. Registration will takes place from 10am and is situated near the start, 2km west of Cong village in the old sawmill site on the Cornamona road.
Parking is available at registration. However, it is recommended to use the car pool carpark on the Galway rd approach to Cong Village.
Participants will be able to register and collect their race numbers from 10 am on the day. We encourage entrants to arrive early.
Refreshments will be served afterwards in the Deacy Marine facility.
There is an array of magnificent prizes for each category. All proceeds from the event go to Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association.
Our aim is to make this an event to remember.
