Inishbofin Half Marathon
Set on the idyllic island of Inishbofin, a small but stunningly beautiful and tranquil island off the west coast of Ireland….a guaranteed weekend of fun and challenge awaits participants in the 4th Annual Inishbofin Half-Marathon.
This event is offered as a weekend package, which includes 2-nights Bed & Breakfast and evening meals (Friday & Saturday), race entry, lunch on Sunday and return ferry transfers to and from Cleggan.
The half marathon will take place on Saturday, May 16th, starting at 10.00 am. The route, which will utilise the main road around the island, offers stunning views from every side of the island and will be challenging! Uniquely, due to the narrow roads, this 13.1 mile run or walk is offered as a time-trial with runners/ walkers starting in pairs at 30 second intervals. This adds to the excitement of the event, as the winner is announced based on time analysis, rather than first home!
Places for this unique event are limited to 80 and are available strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.
