The’ Run for Fun’ Clareen 5K is measured and certified by Athletics Association of Ireland and is the perfect target run for getting your runners out from the under the stairs and start your fitness regime. Runners, joggers walkers and crawlers are welcome. Clareen is centrally located in the midlands, just 7 kilometers from Birr Town Co Offaly, 14K from Roscrea, Co Tipperary. This route is set within the unique setting of St Kieran’s Historical Monastic Settlement and this road race has beautiful panoramic views of the Slieve Bloom Mountains. Entry includes Water Bottles, Timings for Runners, Cash prizes for 1, 2 and 3rd men and women runners. Spot Prizes will be given to happy runners/walkers on the day. Refreshments will be available at end of race. Come and enjoy the day. You never regret a run and you can have cake and eat it!
