Challenge 126

0

TWO men are running 126 miles – the equivalent of five marathons – in one day from Limerick to Dublin this week to raise thousands of euro for the Special Olympics.

Brian Maher, and running partner, Mike Sheridan will set out to run their ‘Challenge 126’ this Thursday, April 26 from 7am outside Debenham’s in Limerick city.

A gruelling 30 hours later, after a few brief pitstops to stock up on calories and replenish their energies, they expect to arrive on Dublin’s Grafton Street. People especially runners are being asked to meet up with them and run a few miles with them to show their support.

The route will take them along the R445 from Limerick to Nenagh, Roscrea, Portlaoise, Naas and finally on to Dublin.

Donations can be made through www.challenge126.com or text the word ‘Donate’ to 57252 to give €2 to charity.
