On Sunday 26th May 2013, Annalee Athletics Club and 2nd Cavan Scouts will co-host a 5k run and family fun day starting at the new International Scout Centre, Castle Saunderson Estate, located less than 20 minutes from Cavan Town.
It is open to the public and will cater for all ages and abilities. The race will start at 12pm.
The course will involve a 5 kilometre loop of the estate on forest roads, followed by a family fun day held at the Scout Centre, with attractions such as free bouncy castles, treasure trail and face painting for the younger participants, fairground games, a climbing wall, zipwire and hot food from the cafe.
All entrants who register in advance will receive a souvenir t-shirt and goody bag.
The route will be fully certified by the Athletics Association of Ireland (pending) and chip timed by Precision Timing.
We’ll have great prizes available on the day covering a range of age groups and teams.
