Carrig Na Bhfear AC & Iveragh AC Receive Club Packs

from Iveragh AC Just before Christmas Iveragh AC and Carrig Na Bhfear AC received their McDonalds Little Athletics pack.
Three coaches from the Iveragh AC have completed the one day Athletics Leader course, and according to club coach Angela O’ Shea both the club and the community will benefit from the pack.
Every week the club coaches will provide a Little Athletics session in the South Kerry sports centre in Caherciveen. Iveragh AC looks forward to setting up their Little Athletics program with the key to the program being for the kids to have fun and to enjoy their athletics. Obviously the club is doing extremely well, and credit must granted to the coaches and parents who help organise and run the activities for the children of Iveragh AC throughout the year.

Also Carrig Na Bhfear AC received their Level 1 pack recently. The club had three coaches attend the Level 1 coaching course and have benefited immensely from the pack. At present they have 20-25 kids attending training which is held on Tuesday & Thursday 8-9pm in Colaiste an Chroi Naofa Carrig Na Bhfear. All the sessions are fun and follow the principals of the LTAD model focussing on the FUNdamental and Learning to Train stages of the model. The club and the programme are doing very well and club coach Ger Foley is very happy with its success and the help of its enthusiastic and dedicated coaches and parents.
