As part of the Brian Boru Festival weekend in Aughnacliffe we are organising a 5k/10k run/walk for Saturday 13th August. This is open to walkers and runners of all abilities and will commence from Leebeen Park at 2pm on the day. The 5k route proceeds from Rathmore to Dunbeggan turning left at Four White Walls for Pulladoey, taking backpass to Smear and back to Leebeen Park via Cleenrath. The 10k route starts from Leebeen and proceeds to the Community Centre turning left towards Aughakine. The route turns left again at Janeys Cross and on to the Four White Walls where runners rejoin the 5k route and proceed to the finish line at Leebeen Park. All race distances will be exact and accurate times kept for all runners. Refreshments will be served at Leebeen Park afterwards.Registration is €10 for adults with children €5 and a family of 4 can enter for €20. Individual (male/female), and Juvenile (U16) prize categories on the day.
