The Breffni Challenge is a 20km/13km and new 5 km road run to raise funds for Cancer Research, Cure and Care in Ireland. Funds raised go to St. Luke’s Hospital, Rathgar, National Breast Cancer Research Institute, Galway and Cavan/Monaghan Cancer Homecare Association.
Participants can walk, jog, run or cycle any of the distances.
Entertainment and refreshments will be available to all on the Market Square, Arvagh when they cross the finish line, and due to the Arvagh 3 Province Festival taking place, there will be lots of fun and entertainment throughout the weekend.
Event schedule and times
Registration for the 20k begins at 12 noon in the MeadowView Inn, Dublin Rd, Cavan,
Registration for the 13k begins at 1pm in the Community Centre, Ballinagh.
Registration for the 5k begins at 1pm at PumpGen, Gurteen, Arva.
Parking is available at all registration locations, and transport back to you vehicle will be available from the Market Square, Arvagh.
Please be prepared for all weather!! A light rain jacket may be the best thing to bring as it tends to be quite warm, but a shower could cool you down!!
Refreshments will be available along the route thanks to many of the residents.
