10K Run in Birr on Saturday 26th. February at 11 a.m. The inaugural Birr Chamber of Commerce Shop Local 10K run will be held on Saturday 26 th. of February commencing at 11 a.m. The event is open to all , including walkers,joggers, fun runners , club runners and elite.Entry fee is € 20.00. Cash prizes for first,second and third male and female.
Birr Chamber of Commerce under the presidency of Martin Kearns in conjunction with
Fit 2 Run 4 Life Company Limited (a locally based company) have combined resources to host a 10K run in the Georgian town of Birr on Saturday February 26 th. at 11am.
Course Outline
The event will start and finish at the chains on John’s Mall in Birr.
Online registration will be taken on the Precision Timing website, refer to
www.precisiontiming.net .
In addition, entries will be accepted on the morning of the race between 9am to 10.30 am. at John’s Mall Birr.
The first 150 registered will receive Shop Local Tee Shirts.
Cash prizes will be presented to the first, second and third male and female finishers.
Cash prizes to the 1st male and female finisher in both the over 40 and over 50 age category.
A number of excellent prizes donated by local businesses will be raffled among all competitors
on the day.
The event has an A.A.I. permit.
Medical personnel will be in attendance.
Parking and showering Facilities will be available at Birr , Rugby club.
Refreshments will be available for all participants after the event.
