Just a quick note about this weekend’s race. It is the Barnardos 5K Santa Dash, sponsored by Data Solutions, on Sunday next, 7 December 2008 at 10.30am in Marlay Park, Rathfarnham, Dublin 16. The race will be on paths in the park so it is really a road race, not cross-country. Registration from 9.00am. Entry fee is €10 for members but on this occasion the entry for non-members will be €20. As it is also a fund-raiser for Barnardos, participants may wish to make a separate contribution or take a sponsorship card at registration.
The weather forecast suggests that it will be cold, so wrap up well.
There will be refreshments afterwards in Marlay House.
The following Saturday 13 December 2008, we will have first race organised by NSRT (the National School for Remedial Therapy). It will also be the first cross-country race to be held at a new course at The Ward, North County Dublin. Separate races (6km each) for women (11.00) and men (11.30).
