Keiths Story
Keith Connolly was involved in a road traffic accident on the night of the 16th of October 2011, resulting in the amputation of both his legs.
Keith, from the parish of Ballinderreen, who is the father of a small child, has commenced his rehabilitation in the National Rehabilitation Centre in Dun Laoghaire, where he is making excellent progress. Keith was heavily involved in the local GAA clubs, both as a player and a mentor, spending much of his free time coaching juvenile and camogie teams.
In light of the serious injuries he sustained, fundraising has commenced with the re-activation of the Ballinderreen Benevolent Fund. All funds raised with the 8k Road Race/Walk will go to the Ballinderreen Benevolent Fund in aid of Keith Connolly
Race Start: Ballinderren GAA Grounds
Registration will take place between 10am and 12pm the morning of the 22nd July 2012 at the Community Centre
