from Mark Mckeigue Good weather greeted the athletes for the Ballinasloe Triathlon at the Moycarn Lodge on Saturday morning. The day began with the short race with all athletes comleteing the course…even though one lost a pedal during the cycle!!
Fair play to the athlete for still finishing. The main race began with a good swim in the river with a bit of help from the current on the way back. The cycle course passed through parts of county Roscommon before returning to the hotel and in a change from last year the run was on the road. All athletes finished and seemed to enjoy the day and some money was raised for Haven partnership which builds homes in Haiti.
